Chemz Zinc BlackChemz Black Zinc is 99% epoxy based Zinc rich coating used to inhibit rust and corrosion of metal surfaces.Chemz Black Zinc forms a tough and flexible film which electrochemically bonds to bare metal and acts as a sacrificial coating to prevent rust formation when scratched and abraded. Chemz Black Zinc is fast drying, shows excellent adhering qualities as a finishing or under coat and can be used on applications up to 500°C. Chemz Black Zinc protects metal (iron or steel) from corrosion during long term exposure to corrosive environments. Use on ELECTRICAL generation, transmission and distribution equipment including towers, transformers, light standards and other metal and galvanized surfaces. GENERAL use on structural steel or frames, machinery frames and bases, tank stands, gates, yards, farm machinery, boat trailers and sub frames, home and garden equipment, air conditioners, industrial motors. Excellent for touch up on welding seams and spot welding repairs. DIRECTIONS: Chemz Black Zinc is best applied to clean dry surfaces. If surface to be treated shows signs of corrosion remove offending scale with a stiff brush or scraper. Galvanic protection depends on the bonding of Zinc particles with bare metal.
